Title: 986 brake question

Apologies if this is a daft question but can u fit the rear callipers off a 986 onto the front of a mk1 golf?

I know I'd need the relevant adaptors etc but the main point is if u can fit rear brakes off one car onto the front of another?

I cant see why not, other than all the other questions I don't know the answers to.

What adapters are there? How big are they? What's the rest of your braking system comprise of?
