Title: ED35/Golf R/ Roc R engine cover
Post by: mjp on 27 August 2012, 06:45: Customised Audi TTS engine cover with Audi R8 oil and water bottle cap. Thinking of plastidipping the windscreen water bottle cap. Thoughts?

Just one comment though, I'm pretty sure that unless you change the intake this engine cover won't fit a 35 as the stock one is attached to the original cover? I'm happy to be proven wrong. The MAF sensor is also attached to the engine cover.

I'm a big fan of the R8 caps as well but it's a shame there isn't a matching washer cap, i've actually been looking at the Forge ones like Ginge but the black ones cos you can get caps for everything.

Believe so mate, I just nipped down to the dealer and he swapped mine over for me in two minutes. Do a YouTube search mate as there were a few on there when I was looking.

Hi, they fit over the stock ones. They then are tightened by little grub screws. The washer bottle one is a complete replacement. I'm happy with them and got a deal from Forge direct, £70 for the oil, coolant and washer bottle cap.

Post by: mjp on 28 August 2012, 06:54: Thanks guys, I like the Forge water bottle cap and I have sent an email to Forge. I prefer the understated look and is the reason why I left the cover black. I have removed the Audi logo from the cover.
