:( i thought they could be quite nice, like this

-
But they are not the same size although they do look good on the 3
-
i dont know if they suit the mk3, think they would be better suited to a mk1 or 2. i also prefer the porsche design 90s which do look similar.
would you do them black though? maybe if they were chromed they would look ok?
-
They are called 8 holes
-
They only look good when they're 16".
-
yeah would want them in 16" if i get some. i dunno, think them black ones look pretty good lol
and yeh they are very simular to the porsche ones but with out the price. theres a set of these merc ones on ebay going for 150 and not to far from me.
only playing about with ideas really. its all along way off yet anyway got more important things to sort out n car first haha
another question tho, it says these alloys have a et of 25. and going from the wheel fitment thread mk3 are between 32 and 38.
so if i used some 15mm 5x112 to 5x100 adptors i have a offset of 40? meaning i will deffinantly need arch work done??
-
You will end up with an ET of 10 with lots of poke ,arch work and tyre stretch will be required
-
it depends on width of the wheel also. But you have the offset calc around the wrong way. ET25 with a 15mm spacer would give ET10.
You would need to roll arches with that ET i would think I have 7.5" wide wheels with ET21 on the front and an effective ET11 on the back due to a stub axle spacer and the wheels are level with the arch.
But on the rear it also depends on the model of the car. Some have wider rear beams and its not the GTI/VR6 models.

ahh, i see, fair bit of work and money then lol
thanks for all the help people!!
