Title: why is it
Post by: mcgee9t2 on 25 August 2012, 17:19
Nothings ever simple.

polybushing wish bones. to take the wish bones out its 5 bolts so shouldnt take too long. yet ive just spent 2 hours and only got two bolts off they were rusted so tight. dont know how the bolt hasent snaped cause its managed to break one wrench! Currently given up and going or a chippy tea. not in a happy mood.

left loads of penatrating fluid on them and if they arent easier tomorow it can wait till next week and ill go round my cusns garage and borrow his windy gun.

Come one then whats the longest anyones over ran on doing something i.e thought itd take 2 hours but takes 5 hours or somet

it took me 2 1/2 hours to change my steering wheel the other day which apparently is a 10 min job! I couldnt undo the bolt, just dont have the strength, and was terrified i was going to set off the airbag so was ultra careful!

quite simple. spend a few extra quid and get replacement bolts. then you can just go straight at em with a cutting blade in an angle grinder
