Title: New Cat Convertor
Post by: bullzeye on 25 August 2012, 16:25
Recently my car had a horrible smell coming from the exhaust like a sulphur smell. so i been and had a new Cat fitted today. the mechanic said he can still smell fuel coming from the exhaust and it will burn this cat out if i dont sort it

Any ideas what will be causing it? theres no error codes form code reader or anything. This may also explain mt poor mpg as i seem to get less than u lot :P

normal short journey driving wont usually see over 26mpg, ive owned it nearly 2 years and highest ive seen it go is 35mpg on 100 mile trip on the motorway but was trying hard to get that
wouldnt maf or lambda send a code?
