Well basically ive round the tie rod end allen key now the c!?! Just keeps spinning any other ways to tighten it back up ?
-
Wedge a bar ontop of it. Get someone to hold it down best they can and tighten.
-
Not my picture but how do you hold the top side of that with a bar ???

Wedge it under the chassis or somewhere strong?
-
Just tried that bud its not shifting and that with a impact gun it wont bite the shaft just constantley spins
-
Wind nut off and wirebrush all the threads up. Bit copper slip and try again with the bar.....might need it longer and someone to stand on it.
-
Could always buy a new one

Could always buy a new one
I had to grind the nut off! I was hanging off a pry bar wedging it against the chassis...didn't budge!
Grind it off at an angle, if that makes sense, so you can still use the threads, :undecided: so you can put it back on if you cannot get a new one straight away

Its allways the little things that screw you over lol as above i had the jacks bar wedged to the chassis it was even lifting the car the bastard didnt budge so i got violent with a disc cutter il have to wait untill tuesday to get a new one ! If i put it exactly the same as the old one would i need to get it tracked as i only had it done 2 months ago
-
try jacking the bottom arm up the put pressure on the track rod end u might have to take it a bit to get a fair bit of force on it then do sum spanner work working it on and off
-
Cheers bud but ive cut the thing off now!
-
mine was bad to get off too.. luckly i had just bought a 36 inch snap on pry bar which with somone puting loads of weight on and a powerfull gun managed to get it undone :)
-
We tried everything yesterday it wouldnt undo or tighten there must of been a damaged thread! When i fit this new one will i need to get the tracking done if its exactly the same as the old one ? And should i put a tiny bit of copper slip to prevent this happening again lol ?
