you can get lots of nice shiney bits for you engine from www.trimsport.co.uk, including battery covers. don't know of anyone who does side covers but they'd be easy to make from a bit of stainless.

p.s. i've got a nice shiney engine!

expansion tank is made by bailey and apparently they cost £135!!! you can tell i didn't pay full whack for it! and yes mostly samco hoses, other bits are just silicone hose-unbranded but do the job for the straight sections.

yeah i did it all by my very own hands!!! the block is painted, most other bits are chromed, some are polished.

my strut brace is made by eibach, but they don't make them for mk2's any more. they are sweeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!!

for what? an eibach strut brace? still kinds hard to find for mk3's and they're about £130 now i think

did it cost much altogethter to get the job done

only the cost of new parts for the rebuild, once i found a good chromer the cost wasn't stupid. everything else i did myself.

id be a bit wary putting them covers did they slide over ?

covers? did they slide over what?

You can tell i havent got a clue

little bit yeah!

i did everything yeah, i'm still not sure what covers you mean? i re-routed alot of the wiring loom through the chassis legs and the remaining i covered with convoluted hoses (plastic corrugated tubing) all the blue bits are silicone hoses and the ht leads are blue silicone jobbies just to match!
