Am I allowed to post details of a group buy I'm running on a couple of other forums?
For a 10" sub enclosure.

Of course, just needs to be in the group buy section
I'd advise you to say a little about yourself and a price would help

Is it possible to run a sub and amp off of a standard RCD510 and what cc is the box, has it been designed to work with a specific speaker brand?

Hi.
indeed.. I have all the details and price etc. But didnt want to storm on and post them all straight away if there was someone to ask first.
Regarding myself... New to this forum but very active on other VW forums..

You have to run a line out converted from an rcd510 (i have an rcd510 DAB myself so I know it works)
The cheap way is to get a £15 LOC and tap the rear speakers and run a sub from there. Then you can adjust sub level by adjusting front / rear fade.
The expensive way (which i've just done) is with something like an Audiocontrol LC2i. This give a strong clean pre out for front speakers and also a bass output. You can also run a bass control remote dial off this unit.
This is then feeding my JL HD600/4 amp which in turn is running front components and a sub in the rear.

Sorry.. saw the other question..
the box is 0.66cu.ft / 18.68l. Max sub depth is 6" with a magnet diameter or 6" although you could fit an extra MDF ring to the front and bolt the sub to that which would give you a bit extra depth.
The biggest sub they have tested is the JL 10w3v3 which fits and also sounds 'amazing'.. which is handy as this is the sub i have :)

Brilliant thanks for reply, could be interested

then can also make it with an 8" mounting ring instead of 10"
let me know if you want to go ahead.
Its £160 posted from america (usually £198) so its a good discount. I was getting quotes of £180-£220 for getting a box built here and they didnt look as nice as this one.

Does it come fully assembled and trimmed as per the photo?
Are there any connection terminals included in the box?
Is that price delivered to home address?
Just want to be clear on the product, thx.

just to let you know the boot in the mk6 and mk5 are slightly different and the sub will not fit snug.
I know this because i had too cut the boot lining just to make mine fit ....wasn't a wise idea
