in a word it's friggin awesome!!!!!!!
really comfy to drive at daily pace and when you floor it it just takes off!
looks a bit more modern inside compared to my mk4, dash lights up white rather than blue which is kinda nice.6 speed gearbox.
the car keeps the biting point on the clutch on hills/stops for you so you can pull away nicely which is a really nice touch.
trip computer features a gear selector which tells you when to change up/down in normal drive or put your foot down mode lol.
to be fair apart from the updates to the dash and the obvious bodywork changes from the mk5/4 its pretty much the same drive as my mk4.
the pricetag for the mk6 seems steep for what it is but then again i suppose mk4's where once £24k +. i would definantly love 1 though if i ever had the money
-
Look at the size of it next to your mk4. need to park my mk1 next to it. Bet its half the size.
-
Yes they are truly awesome machines....

i know it is big con the outside compared to my mk4! and i thought the mk4's were the fatboy dubs lol
the mk6 is a bit more snug inside than the mk4 tho, maybe its just me or the way the seats hold u in that give u the extra snug feeling?
i dont care eitha way just makin the most of it lol

So how long you got the bad boy for?

at the ,oment im not sure, i been told its mine until i receive a settlement cheque, but can keep it for 7 days after that to allow o me source another car, but im off on holiday for 2 weeks 2mrw so i should have it a few weeks yet lol, i'm really lovin it aswell.
the other half loves it to so im thinkin of ways we can get hold of 1 after the holiday, even if it is a second hand year or 2 old

How do you know? :lipsrsealed:
Tbh mate if a mk6 is a bit of a stretch then i'd go for a mk5, they drive the same and you can get a really tidy well specced one for good money these days.

You really think that's a reasonable courtesy car to have, to replace your 12 year old car? You REALLY think that's reasonably covered by your annual policy?
I don't suppose you've signed a credit agreement for the courtesy car, have you? Claim management company involved? Have a read:
http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/cars/article-1692116/Beware-the-car-insurance-courtesy-car-trap.html
My advice would be get the GTI back to where it came immediately to reduce your exposure to this situation, because if I was the paying insurer I'd contend hiring a new GTI in is not mitigating the costs of the claim, more ripping off everyone else who pays for insurance.
Remember, if it feels like it's too good to be true, it probably is. These people aren't there to make you feel better after having an accident, they're there to make money, nothing more.

And the sunshine goes away......
