Title: What size wheel spacers?
Post by: Leebob on 19 August 2012, 17:42
What size wheel spacers should i fit to my mk3.My rims are 6 and a half J cant remember the offset, pretty standard mk3 alloys tho.The tyres are 195's.Someone on here said a while ago to use 12mm spacers. What do ppl think for best looking stance?Rear wheels look to me as if they sit in more than the fronts.

Go get a tape and measure the gap you want to fill.

without rolling and with a std off set (et43 on the mk3) then 12mm is max (especially if low or you carry fat birds around!)

I've got 6.5 inch 16inch alloys with standard arches and 205 tyres and ive got 20mm each side on the front and 20mm on the back but ive had to change the rears to 15mm each side because the 20mm was shredding the tyres. Fronts are fine. But my suspension is much stiffer on the front than on the back which might explain it.
