Title: Seat ibiza 1.4 dsg?

Right after a new car around £8/10k and had been looking at the polo gtis, these are an violist more expensive and closer to 15k. Just been to test drive my mates one and was very nice but he says they arent very good on petrol :sad:

I need something that can do 30+ mpg around town and 35/40+ on motorway. Has to say vag as I have looked at clio 200, Clio cup, mini, fiat abrath, skoda vrs. But nothing really stands out.

So have narrowed it down to the seat Ibiza for time being lol.

Looking at the cupras. 150/180ps. Look nice with a subtle drop (frost mod :wink:)

Has anyone driven one/ own one?
Best engine/ model?

Will be dsg got use to having an auto so don't want to go back  :smiley:

So you're disregarding the Polo due to poor fuel consumption, yet you believe the Ibiza (which has the same drivetrain) could be a good option?

Genius.

Just get a TDI DSG and be done with it.

Only reason I say it is because I heard their slighty better on fuel. Weather that's because of the weight or other factors I don't know. I also think the ibiza are 150ps whereas the polo ares 180ps iirc. Plus saving up to £5k on buying an Ibiza is alot of fuel money ;)

I can't justify a diesel as I don't do enough miles to warrant one.

I was looking at the golfs bit just think their too big and bulky. Going from a bulky mk4 to a less bulky mk3 has made me want something a lil smaller ie Ibiza, Lupo etc rather than something bigger like a Leon or golf  :smiley:

But if I came across the right one I could be tempted  :wink: and haven't seen many ed30 for under 10k

has to be vag. has to be small. has to be petrol. has to be dsg. has to be economical but powerful.

Just wanted some opinions on the ibiza, just seeing if anyone had one. Signed up to SSS now so will ask on there.
