Title: Rear wiper coming on

..my new GTI seems to have a rear wiper that decides to come on occassionally when I start the car...even if the switch is off...I have read on the internet it's a software fault on some early cars and it needs a firmware update...asked my dealer, but they had never heard of it.

Hi,

Check this - do you have auto rain sensing wipers? If you are reversing out of your drive way and its damp/wet/raining the rear wiper 'knows' the car is in reverse and wipes once or twice.

If not then its a fault!
