Well imho from what I have read about & having personally been in a car with them fitted I personally feel the Weltec GT kit is the best

For that budget Weitec Hicon GTs. I think when I was looking to bring mine in from the UK they were £449.00. Well worth the extra £49 IMO.

Sorry about the huge bump.

Rather starting new thread i'd rather write on here.

Looking at weitec coilovers. I'm sure i've read many times previously that they were in the region of £400ish.

Only price i'm seeing now is £700 or so.

Anyone advise? thanks.

Had some fk sport edition plus 2 years ago. Cost me 460. Shocks had gone within 12 months. I definitely didn't think they were worth the money :undecided:

My brothers got kw variant 2 on his fiesta st dont know how long theyve been on the car or the millage done but the thing is like a rally car you almost cant tell your cornering its on rails think they set the previous owner back around 1K i think you get what you pay for really with suspension

Many people run Fk without probs sounds like you were unlucky chief 2 yr warranty with FK coils surely u got a return or replacement?

They said they stopped doing them haha. Bought some joms as a cheap replacement.

Wish I had the money for kw! This car is too costly.

KW is Epic but as said to a lot of people 1 grand on suspension is a lot of cash!  The Fk Highsport and Silverline range get great reviews from various forums as rich says you pay for what you get

get the cheapest you can find. ive had them on all 3 of my mk4's and 2 of my BMW's ranging from eibach, weitec, hotuning, FK,and jamex

and i found all of them are the same except for the jamex as they were extremely bad.

My view on weitec vs jom as ive had both

Joms: corrode quite easily if not looked after, ALOT CHEAPER THAN WEITECS, softer/bouncier ride than W's and no tab for r32 arb

Weitecs: again corrode badly if not looked after, expensive, very harsh ride, does have tab for arb, and dont look cheap like the joms

My personal opinion is that i wasted £400 on them when my joms were perfectly fine !

Go for joms you get a lengthy warranty just make sure you grease the ballbags out of them

You will get brand new AP Coilovers for 400 and they are 3 times better than joms. The cheap coilovers are horrific, even more so when very low.

know people with AP coilovers and the more expensive FK coilovers, the AP ones seem exactly the same in terms of ride as mine (fk ak streets), just they payed over twice what i did. the more expensive FK ones i saw a slight improvement over, but not one that i could warent spending the amount of money they cost on.

IMO FK AKs are great, cheep and do the job, heard lots of bad stories about them but i think its just people being unlucky or not instaling/looking after them correctly.

also know someone who had wietechs on his golf, had them on for two months, took them off sold them, bought fk aks and a few other cheeper parts with the money he got from his weitechs.

Thats exactly what i want to do except go back to joms not fks but i seriously cannot be assed !

Just to let you know, I ordered the weitecs from candrenterprise. Later that day, I received a call from them, they were surprised how I managed to order them as it's not on their website anymore. They told me that weitec had dramatically increased their price at Christmas.

Candr have now charged me a total of £645 which isn't too bad but will take 10-14 days :undecided:.

I would tell them to do one and save your money and get fk or jom just get them installed properly and take care of them

i've had fk and joms. Time for something new  :smug:

I think 10-14 days is a bit of a piss take though. Going to see if anywhere else stocks it as i need them urgently!
