EGT hole on the 023 I believe.

Could be wrong, but early cars didn't have EGT, and later ones did, so I THINK that's the difference.

Exhaust Gas Temperature probe.

its part of the protection system in the ECU. Older ECU's had a model version what added fuel when the exhaust gas reached as setpoint, this reduce the exhasut temperatures and protected the turbo, manifolds etc etc.

The -023 has an actual probe for precise temperature readings than a modelled temperature from the Lambda probe. It allows you to run higher egt's before adding fuel becuase of the precise nature .

Its a nice to have but not essential.
