What difference between k04-022and 023?? Please.
-
EGT hole on the 023 I believe.
Could be wrong, but early cars didn't have EGT, and later ones did, so I THINK that's the difference.

Absolutely correct.

what is this egt hole your speaking of??

Exhaust Gas Temperature probe.
its part of the protection system in the ECU. Older ECU's had a model version what added fuel when the exhaust gas reached as setpoint, this reduce the exhasut temperatures and protected the turbo, manifolds etc etc.
The -023 has an actual probe for precise temperature readings than a modelled temperature from the Lambda probe. It allows you to run higher egt's before adding fuel becuase of the precise nature .
Its a nice to have but not essential.

oh right!!!
is it on the cold or hot side??

Hot... normally triggers protection when egt's reach 900degrees
