Title: Door handle curtosy light?

As per the title I've seen these lights on volvos, audi's, merc's, vw and even the latest astras and fords. Wondering if retro fitted one could be accomplished by splicing into the alarm system for when you lock and unlock your car or take your key out of the ignition?

Wondering if anyone has done this?

I suppose this could be done..... Maybe taking from the wire that illuminates the interior light when unlocking and pullin key out etc   :smug:

I like you plans, I would imagine it wouldn't be that difficult, few holes drilled here, a few leds popped through there, then just wire it to the interior light :)

cheers mate, my only fear is getting LED feaver and turning my car into a festive wonder  :lipsrsealed:

plans are for exterior handles to light up when remote locking; on for unlocked and when the key is pulled out of the ignition as well as soft red glow on interior door handle and maybe a footwell glow as well? however my courtesy lights are all going to be brilliant white so still in two minds with the red or if i should just plug them into the mains so that when side or full beam is on then the door handles on the interior are illuminated?

so many choices!!  :laugh:

If you cant see your door handles when its a bit darker, you should go to specsavers  :nerd: :laugh:
