Title: Lowering kit

This may sound really stupid..... But how do you adjust the rear springs on a set of coilovers!!?? The fronts have a plate that you turn to lower or higher, but from the pictures I've seen the rears are just springs!

The rears have adjusters that sit underneath the springs, they can be seen on the left of this pic:
