Looking to spruce up the mk2's interior a bit with some fresh gators. Running a mk4 gearknob and wondered if anyone had used this company before or could comment on fit/quality? They do Mk2 handbrake ones too which would be a bit nicer than the plastic standard
Just curious before I purchase anything.

But why Mk4 parts???
Mk2's don't have red stitching.... Don't see the point....

If they fit then buy them. It will look great! Seen it done loads of times before and really sets off your interior. :)

Erm....each to their own chap? Thanks for that helpful post
I have a Rallye interior which contains red detailing and the Mk4 gearknob is personal preference.

Cheers, I just wondered if anyone had purchased anything from the shop before and could comment on fit etc

Ditch the mk4 gearknob for one out of a Rallye - the leather gaitor will sit better and flush. The stiching will also follow all the way up to the knob. The handbrake gaitor is better suited when using a Rallye handbrake base which is shallower. I'll get some pics up of mine later. The base/frame is still available via VW Heritage for about £6.

Hmmm, not sure I'm liking the handbrake condom. Perhaps it should only go up as far as the handle?
-
I decided to take it that far up (it's designed like that) so the grip is also leather. Feels nicer than the plastic.
-
I get that, but it somehow looks wrong, like it's of a totally different car. Perhaps in needs a seam or join in it at the end of the handle?
-
Yes I agree - I simply folded the end over. A little heat would soften the leather to aid installation and reduce the wrinkles.
-
Shouldn't this be further down?
ie. covering ALL the base and only coming up as far as the handle?
From the picture, it certainly looks that way from the shape of the gaiter?

No - if you look at the smaller base there is a frame/ridge around it where the base fn the gaitor goes round. The gaitor is not wide enough to go under the base - besides how would you screw it down if it's covered?
That gaitor is designed to cover the handle.
