I've got the climair wind deflectors on mine, stops the water coming in off the roof and stops the helicopter wind noise in the car when driving with the windows down

Not everyone's cup of tea but they serve a purpose

Not the best pic, but you get the idea

Need a set of these too, fed up with opening the window and getting soaked.

Had them on numerous cars previously and they are a great idea, just a bit marmite in the looks dept.

Any difference in quality between Heko and Climair?

Think they are both good quality products and very easy to fit,

I fitted a set of Heko ones to a mates Superb and thought they were good. I got another set a couple of weeks ago and fitted to my Dad's new Kia Venga. Mum likes the window down a bit as she reckons air con makes her throat sore and her eyes run.

Ebay is as good as any place to get them from. Just search "Heko Golf Mk6"

Good as they are, I still don't think I'd have them on any of my cars tho'.

If its any consolation my Leon is equally as bad, you have to thank modern car design for the backward step of removing run gutters which stopped us getting wet.

Ah yes I did find that site but it don't seem to display Golf 6 5dr like it does Golf 6 3dr...the closest thing is Golf 5 door 2009...it also has Golf 6 5dr 2008 on...

I've probably answered my own question but do I select the Golf 5 door 2009?

Jeez, they're only £40 posted. If you don't like them when they arrive, you won't have lost much. I'm sure you'd get £20 back if you sold them on ebay.

then eBay fees, PayPal fees, inconvenience of having to go to the post office during the day when I should be working, risk of damaging the door seal with fitting and removing if you don't like them (small risk but still possible) and the fact they will most likely look sh1t anyway when they arrive.

If you have money to waste then why not be our guinea pig?

As I said earlier, I fitted some to my mates Superb and my Dad's Kia Venga recently. I thought they looked good and worked well. It is impossible to damage anything when fitting them or taking them off. They are secured with a tiny bit of double sided tape and a couple of spring clips that are pushed into place when you wind the window up.

Personally I wouldn't have / need them on my red Golf as I never have the windows open.

Well, I gotta thank ScottA for starting this thread, I had no idea wind deflectors were available  :embarrassed:
We enjoy a drive with the window down but the pressure waves inside the car if only 1 window is open made it a bit of a pain, having to ensure either both front or a rear window is open at the same time, so when Neil said they stop the 'Helicopter noise' I knew they were for me
Luckily I live close to Climair's retail outlet in Sidcup so rather than pay the £8 ish postage I popped along and bought them over the counter.
They supply some silicon grease to help installation (not sure if it's really needed tho?) and as long as you ensure the leading edge of the deflector is sitting on the outer edge of the door/window seal it really is easily installed in just a few seconds!
I put them on last night so as Climair state the windows should not be opened for 24 hrs to allow them to bed in correctly I can't comment on how they perform, but look's wise they're fine.... In fact as my Gtd is black anyway they're hardly noticeable!

Another thing...... enter 'club197' at the checkout to get a £3.32 discount
