Title: Oil Pick up
Post by: GTi_James on 10 August 2012, 10:37
good morning you piston fiends!!

have the opportunity to change out my oil sump...damn suffolk roads are full of wildlife and potholes.

is the shallow sump from Awesome GTi any good as its pretty much same price if buying new from stealers, and it isnt really that shallow but the reinforced sump is more appropriate as i am lowering next month too

any opinions?

and is the pick up line any good too as i heard somewhere that it may require modding of some sort?

there's hardly any difference between the shallow sump and oem sump anyway. you thought about engine raisers?

maybe consider new engine mount to stop any bounce so you dont sod your sump at the same time? havent found anything yet for raising but will be talking to my mate at mercedes as hes got a 180E custome job going at the mo and i think he may of "raised" the engine, not sure though

edit: good engine riser, comes up with some ideas, looks like a wheel spacer but for your engine mounts?
