Post by: bullzeye on 10 August 2012, 00:34
Does anyone know of a good ecu remapping place in the north west, id love to go to r tech but its just too far, i rang carbon chip tuning last week but apparently they dont do  mk4 golfs anymore

also after the remap when the car is driven normaly.. will i see slightly better mpg?( Wife uses it for work and travels 30-40  mile per night  so would be a bonus

yes just the spring, uprated air filter if you dont have one, standard exhaust?

MPG should only decrease if she starts flooring it
Awesome GTI do maps, but I personally wouldnt touch them with a barge pole

I have my only dealer up north west...  I can book you in for the 1.8T R-Tech map session at our NW dealer, but you need to book via us to get the R-Tech maps code and to have the map custom setup on the dyno.  Simon will health check and smoke test your car, then run it on the dyno I will then log in to his PC and run VCDS and log your car during a few power runs, Simon will read your stock map and email me, I will use the Gen11 R-Tech base code which will be loaded to your car and logged, we will alter and tweak the map unique to your car, so if you have a weak actuator we can add duty cycle to make sure we are getting the correct power ans safe.
