Post by: vwgolfchick on 09 August 2012, 17:56
Hi all,

looking for advice really, I have a R reg Red Mark 3 Golf Gti, MOT'd till December 5 months tax, needs a bit of love and I dont really have the funds to throw at it, would I get more if I sold it whole or broke it??

I was in an accident in May and the back end was rebuilt cost £1,200!! x Madness!

You don't get much from breaking the Mk3's these days, even more so with the 8v. They are quite cheap to repair and maintain though so you should just keep a hold of it. Especially since it had all that work done on it after its accident.

why are you getting rid of it? not much money in mk3s at the mo, i tried to give my local scrappy a gti interior but they didnt want it, said they have mk3 gti parts coming out their ears!!
i would try n sell it whole unless it was insurance claim?
