Title: SOLID YELLOW OIL LIGHT

as above came on so checked oil it was low so topped up to max.the lights still on any ideas? sensor???

pick up pipe blocked. ok mate is that a serious fault? says oil level in manual but level is defo to the max now.

hit the search bar and you will see that its probably the pick up pipe the book says my car will do 500 mpg dont believe everything the book says mate  :wink:

yer true av done a search and it says oil level red 4 pressure. cud be a fkd sensor maybe as oils cushty,engine runnin fine

Yellow is sensor
Red is pressure

Sensors arent cheap from memory  :undecided:

Worth whipping off the sump to double check the pickup pipe and replace anyway  :wink:

mine was the same mate even had new oil change but aint gonna sort it if the pick up pipe is blocked take off the sump and unblock it for the sake of such a simple task it cost me a new engine and if it needs a new pipe they aint to expensive and could save you a few hundred failing that its that then i would start looking at sensors one on the oil breather filter is a good start as it is easily disturbed  :smiley:

yeh will do, wud the pressure drop if the pipe is blocked??

mine didnt it just stopped altogether resulting in seized enginge  :cry:

yeh sound mate got it boxed off now it woz just the sensor, tenner frm the local scrap heap.
