just looking for a bit of direction here really, buying a mk2 tomorrow hopefully, and it has a rallye front.
now i like rallyes, but the front end was made for a rallye and not a mk2 so i cant wait to get it off the car and sell it.
any ideas of what kind of return i can get on it? lights grill lower grill and slam panel.
i did a goggle search and the latest one i saw was advertised for £650!! some people are bonkers.
-
Most I've seen go for around the £400-500 mark so yeah a fair chunk!
-
i need shot of it most quickly so if i knock it out for £450 i be happy as a shi**y pig!
just done another search tho and seen one in america advertised for $1550! which equates to nearly a grand in proper money! wtf!

Think I saw one on Ebay the other day, might be worth watching that.
As you say though people are crazy. I've never seen the appeal of the Rallye front end myself but you could well be quids in should you plump for the car
-
its pretty much a done deal tbh, never saw the appeal of it myself, i can see why vw did it though, imagine a rallye with 4 rounds....
going back to standard myself, 4 rounds, red stripe badge and gti grill badge, love it.

seen the fleabay one, i was watching it but it er, ended. as you do.

Good luck with the sale, it should fetch quite a bit of cash. But if you're feeling righteous smash it all to smithereens. Fewer spares for the Rallye = WIN.
-
No no, revenge is not that sweet!

Personally think the rallye front looks better on a normal golf! If you do sell it mate can you pm me a rough price please thanks

I sold mine slam panel grill and headlights no plugs and a chipped headlight for 300
