bloke round the corner from me who is slowly becoming a good mate of mine that is a car breaker.
just called me over as i was putting my car in my garage and said oiy mate i got something for you. tenna and its yours. then gave me this exhaust.
its off a diferant car but it is off a 2.0.
what do you think? i recon it will look pretty bloody good once i spend ages obssessing about having it perfect

-
Sell it on make a profit

Sell it on make a profit
i already thought of that but its one of them moments where if i sell it the bloke who saved it for me and sold me it for a tenna is gona think im a cnut if it isnt fitted to the car and it vanishes as he kind of a mate and he saved it for me
duno im still in 2 minds tbh one part of me thinks fcuk it give it a go see what it looks like its better than what you got now
and the other half of me says its chavvy
-
Well if i had to runn it i would lose the extra pipe .
-
I think it would work........................ if you was running a V8
-
Well if i had to runn it i would lose the extra pipe .
That was a thought of mine. Was thinking about cutting off the pipe at the box and welding in a plate to make it a single
-
Hmmm. A mate of mine put one of those on his 1.4 mk3, looked shocking!
-
Horrible mate!!!! Sorry....
But your seat wheels should look pretty good though...looking forward to seeing them!!!
-
as above... kinda like your standard down swept one actually
-
Cut them trims off and replace them with these RS teardrop style pipes

Na.
If I was to fit it with both I would cut each side square up the the green part of bumper then have the poke from the black bit about 10mm so they are almost flush.
So the bottom of the tips are level with the bottom of the black plastic bit of the bumper. To loose the hanging exhaust look.
-
Looks way too chavy
-
I've got huge respect for you and the way your modding your car on a budget as i'm trying to do this too mainly because i'm a tight ar*e and because i don't think my old mk3 is worth spending real folding money on but that exhaust will just look wrong, to save money and use the part i'd cut off the extension and just have it as a single exit.
-
This ^^^
-
Gotta agree not loving the twin exhaust but modded to a single would work.... Wheels look cool too BTW
-
Cheers mate.
Just measured the exhaust up for cutting and maybe fitting and realised the pipe that goes onto the box is only 40mm and mine is 50mm. Would this effect my cars running or back pressure?
It would reduce to 40mm for about 100mm where it goes into the box then the pipe coming out the box to the tip is 50mm.
-
I reckon once its on and the bumper is PROPERLY cut around the exhaust it will look pretty good!
-
Looks crap
-
I like marmite but hate this.
don't ruin your car and exhaust size will effect it when in high revs
-
Twin letter box - pants
Twin 2.5" outlets discrete in the lower part of the bumper i like.
Theres a mk3 round my area-ish that has this done and its not overly obvious - but you'd need the engine to back it up too
But yeah twin letter box is way over kill and the tank would get in the way anyway
-
Not a fan dude that sorta thing belongs on a saxo or something like that, but each to there own
-
i have taken everybodys advice and it is now on ebay for sale
cheers guys
-
What car was it originally designed to fit? surely some pleb will pay more than a tenner for it on ebay so you're onto a winner really.
-
i hate letter box exhuast's [including the one on my anni] would look loads better if it was a like the r32
