Hi all, Couple of questions:
1. The LCD display on my MFA is bleeding. Can the LCD be replaced or is it a dash replacement job. Ideally want to keep original dash with mileage reading.
2. Mk2 washer jets are cra*. Is there an alternative that can be fitted that actually sprays the water onto the windscreen instead of squirting 2 jets of water either side of windscreen

2, Use a pin to alter the spray direction... If not buy replacements from VW...

Thanks for that. Thought I'd seen that MFA post somewhere but couldn't remember where. Think I might be a bit too scared to do that. Any volunteers. I'm prepared to pay.
Its not the jet direction that's a problem its that is just a jet. I want a spray.

On my Mk2, a fraction of a second after those four 'c**p' jets of water hit the screen, the wipers come by and spread it across the whole screen in a miraculous manner causing the whole swept area to be cleaned just as if a spray of water had been distributed evenly across the glass "because you're worth it".
I'm not worth a spray, but VW made it well enough for me. :evil:

I replaced my jets a while back and spent a bit of time adjusting them to point at the correct height up the screen so that they were effective when driving at 20mph and 70mph. A bit of tweaking may be all thats needed. Have a look at the pipes on the underside of the bonnet going to the pump on the washer bottle. If they look black and clogged in places they may benefit from being replaced to increase the flow and give better on screen results....
