Title: A few questions!

Hi, I have jumped ship from the MK3 section and I am in the process of buying my sister in laws Golf TDI. I have a few questions for you guys if you could please help me out?

1. Does the dash have a service interval light?

2. What is the recommended mileage for a cam belt change?

3. Under the offside front bumper is a square box which has a metal mesh surrounding it. It protudes ever so slightly under the bumper and is secure by the looks of it. What is this   part called?

4. Some cnut popped the drivers door key barrel a few years back? You can open the door with any type of key. I presume you cant buy a new kit without getting a new key? If this is the case I will just blank it off.

1. Yes. First beeps when its 2000 miles to go then counts down in 100's till it reads 'SERVICE NOW'

2. Every 60k

3. Think you're on about the side mount intercooler.

4. You may be able to buy a new barrel from VW but will be expensive.
