Title: rear caliper seized??

took my car for mot today failed on drivers side rear caliper not working it must be seized.

what i want to know is if i go to the scrap yard will i have to find one off a 1.8t or are they all the same??? i.e taken from 1.4 /.16

They are cheap enough new: http://www.vwspares.co.uk/g4brakes.php, these are brand new as well.

You can always buy a rebuild kit from BIGRED,
I have used them a few times for various caliper kits. Very good company

Just check 1st when bought mine thought it was seized found rear pads were seized in carriers.

Yeah ide buy new. last one i bought was cheep enough and dont have to mess on removing one in the middle of a scrap yars.

mines seised too so gonna have to buy one
