Called Autoglass to repair this, they asked if it was blue or green tint and I'm finding it hard to decide which it is.
To me it's somewhere in between, so I can't really say 100% either way.
Thought I'd ask the experts.

What model year is it?
Pretty sure that upto 2006 it was blue an from September 2006 it was green.
-
Registered 04/12/2006, I said green when they asked on the phone but one of my mates had a look at the photos and he seemed to think it was blue.
-
Can Gavin not fix that with his special resin?
Hard call on the colour. I'd lean towards blue myself.
-
Called VW and gave them the reg, they said it's green.
Guess I'll need to wait till Autoglass bring it out tomorrow and see them side by side, they said they'd swap it for blue if it's not right, just means I'd need to wait for it to be ordered.
-
You are right on the fine margin of the date it changed from blue to green.
To be honest it makes no odds, as long as you like the way it looks. Mine is blue but to be honest it could pink, I cant really see much difference.

How the foooooooook did that happen?.
-
Not entirely sure, parked it overnight in town and found it like that in the morning, there wasn't anything lying around it so I'm not sure what happened, assuming someone smacked it with something though.
-
Looks like somebody fell on it from a great hight???.
-
Nah, not enough blood. Not that I would know . . .

If its a MY2007 then it will be green. Good luck with the replacement. Autoglass replaced my wife's Eos windscreen (a few years ago) and turned up with one of these screens with the purple coating (might be anti reflective?). Anyway had it fitted looked great but the glass had a fault which made the lower half of the screen like looking through glasses. They had to replace it and turned up with another which was just the same so had a std screen fitted. Point is make sure the screen is perfect before they fit it.

Mine is a Feb 2007 registered 56 plate and the glass is green, so yours should be the same.
Edi35 would mine be MY 2006 or 2007? I know it changes around July so I'm assuming MY 2007 started in July 2006?

No other damage? If not, you are the most luckiest unlucky person ever. It would have been nasty if they did that all over

Yes yours will be MY2007. I am not 100% sure exactly when the MY start from I assumed around Aug or Sept to coinside with the new reg but that may not be correct.

Like nothing ever happened

Also, for the record, my Windscreen SHOULD be green, but it was a blue one on the car when it was smashed, so it had obviously been replaced before.
Got green now, and all the windows match.
