Title: Has anyone fitted one of these?
Post by: Ginge 35Edition on 05 August 2012, 14:57
If so what day think and do you have any pics?

Picking my engine cover, battery cover and fuse cover up from painting tomorrow. Carbon fibre intake next once I have the funds - a mod a month at the minute.

Cheers

Neil

First attempt rejected as I wasn't happy with the finished job. Hopefully second time lucky! I'll start a fresh thread once they're fitted.

I hope they don't charge you twice...

No second charge, they weren't good enough. Shouldn't effect warranty as its the battery cover, fuse box cover and the insert that sits ontop of the engine cover that holds the engine descriptor. Plus I bought replacement new parts for painting, so when it goes in for work the stock black ones will go on to avoid any potential damage etc. fingers crossed I'll have them on for the weekend as Im hoping to go to high peaks low dubs on Sunday.

Good thinking, did the same on a previous ride for the same reason...you just never know nowa days what the dealer(s) might try and void on warranty even if it's a simple cover..

Looks good, post pics of your engine cover. I have fitted an engine cover which works perfect with an intake.

Here is a pic of my cover. I am planning to have the Audi badge removed and spray the cover gloss black. Also planning to fit the R8 oil cap and water bottle cap.
