Title: Pollen filter housing seal replacement?
Post by: quattro.andy on 04 August 2012, 15:53
Hi All,

Narrowed down my water ingress issue to the pollen filter housing seal.

Is this an actual part that I can buy? or shall I buy VW's own sealing cord (I have used this on a B5.5 Passat Pollen filter housing also) or is there something else that's better/cheaper?

Many thanks
Andy

A roll of butyl strip off ebay will seal it up no problem mate. I've used it on more or less everything needing sealed on my Mk3. Plus it wont perish or crack due to ice in the winter.
