Is this a boss?.

And does anybody know how many different sizes VW used on there steering wheels.

Ive just bought a car for spares and my wheel has a larger boss.  :cry:

Can anybody help!

aftermarket steering wheels use a Boss Adaptor so im guessing it is.

think there is two sizes only. Pre 90 mk2 is smaller splined, 90 spec mk2 is slightly bigger

That isn't a boss, thats just the steering column spline & thread.  The boss is the bit that bolts to that, and then the aftermarket steering wheel is bolted to the boss.

You have the late spline adaptor fitted so make sure you get a boss designed for late MK2s with the larger spline hole.
