Fairly new to the processes involved in detailing a car, but recently carried out the following...
Meguiars Gold Class Shampoo wash
AG tar remover
AG Clay kit (never used one before but blown away by results, wife got fed up with being called out to feel paintwork lol)
AG SRP
AG HD wax
Now from having a nose about on line I have read some people use a sealant between SRP and wax stage, is this necessary or just additional protection?
Any advice on products being used would also be welcomed, but the car looked amazing when done and the paint felt like silk
Thanks.

It is optional before a wax but if you want a deep wet finish try Wet Glaze 2.0.

Definitely want that finish as white is so hard to make look good, thanks

I use Dodo LP and then finish it off with Dodo SN Hybrid...it looks proper awesome once given a few coats I think I've got about 5 coats and counting on there now and it's proper silky, you definately can't lean against my car as you wud simply slide off, it brings out the wet look in the paint which looks fantastic!!
Well recommend!!!

Are they waxes or sealants, sorry not very up to speed with various products, and do I use them after AG SRP or can I apply both if I now washed car in current condition?
Find this all very complicated

You dont need a sealant if you are using a wax. Some add it for that extra protection. I sometimes do before winter.
You can finish off with just a sealer or just a wax but I prefer a waxed finish.
AG SRP is a good polish and a good off the shelf filler for those swirl marks. The way rain beads with just SRP makes me think its a mild sealer? AG stuff is not very clear.
Downside to AG SRP is the dust.
This has been getting good reviews and an all in one. Finish off with a wax.
Something I will be buying soon.

You only tend to get dust if you use too much. I use a small amount, (about 3 pea sized blobs per panel, between polishing and waxing stages) applied with a DA and worked until it's all but disapeared.

Its all about CG Jetseal 109.

Apparently the new formula doesn't.

i got some PB white diamond glaze, EX-P sealant and nattys wax.
cant fall off with SRP too i reckon. it isn't that dusty if you use sparingly.

Thans fr all your replies, so to clarify since he car was done a few weeks ago I've not cleaned it....can it be washed and another layer of wax added to top up or does it need more prep than that?
-
I waxed mine after washing/drying loads of times as long as the paint is still clean/no black specks etc.

Great thanks
