Title: fmic pipework help
Post by: azzsmith on 03 August 2012, 21:35
Hi all,
I have just bought a toyosports intercooler with 3" inlet and outlets.   It comes with no pipework and tbh I have no idea of what angles, diameters etc etc to buy.
Only had the car a couple of months so not that clued up about it all yet!
Any help would be appreciated and possible some pics and pipework shopping list!
Cheers, azz

hi there can some one tell me if this is rite or not thanks

Without knowing how he plans to lay it all out, nobody knows!

I'd start by saying I think 76mm hard pipes and bends are a bad idea though, best to reduce straight down to 63 with 76-63 90 degree silicon reducers off the core.

I wrote quite about it in the thread that's linked above:

why not just buy this kit and also buy the big fmic and reducers?

because that costs you £310, and a better setup can be built for about £200 :), or £230ish for an AUM

6'' leg on all of them I believe mate, wasn't an option on the ASH ebay store when I ordered, but I went with ASH because on the whole they seem to give the longest leg length on their hoses compared to others.

Can always trim, but never add.

I didn't have to trim any of mine down at all. they all went together perfectly.
