It's the warm-up regulator, will probably be a bit hesitant/gutless/stall etc etc until the engine is fully warm. Might be a bit more difficult to start from cold also.

I'll second that!

Try unplugging it and see if you notice a difference, then connect it back up and see if there is a noticable difference on the cold starts!

Thought thats what it was. Ok next question which wires shoulb be connected together? the plug seems to have yellow wires but one is connected to a brown wire and the Yellow/Black one looks as if it should be connected to the red wire, is this right?

It's the cold start that's the blue plug :)

The plug is white or brownish white on mine (prob just dirty)

white/red goes to the top

brown goes to the bottom! (i think it's brown anyway could be green, it's hard to tell under artificial lights and a dirty engine)

hope that helps mate!

Thanks for that. Will wire it back up and see if it starts ok on petrol. Usually i start on LPG but i have noticed it doesent like to start on petrol on a cold morning. Maybe this is the reason.

Ta for all y help.

Did you get a chance to test the wiper wire?

I was going to but i had a bit of a disaster in the electrical department. I had a small fire and now most of my electrics dont work, including the rear wiper. The car is with the auto electrician today so hopefully will be fixed soon. I had a look and the only way i can see that i can get to the wire you want me to test is to take the motor out. Is this the case?

Sorry to here that mate!

You might have to take the motor out, but you may be able to pull the plug out without doing this!

Let me know when you get a chance, hope you get the electrics sorted!

cheers
