Before I start getting absolultly harassed by you all, please read my dilemma :drool: just put coilovers on my 16V and the wheels are touching them, first thought was spacers but after doing a search and just getting negative feedback about them I'm just wondering what my other options are? Any help would be greatful as I can't use my car untill it's sorted!

Your not running too much Negative camber are you?
How much clearance do you need?
Wheel spacers are not ideal, personally I wouldn't go over 20mm

How much do the wheels touch? a light skim on the front wheels?
You could just get away with removing the helper springs on the coilovers which i have done on mine (thats if the adjuster sits higher than the tyre).
If they touch all round slightly then you can get away with 3mm spacers or you need hubcentric spacers with longer bolts if its bigger. Had serious vibration issues with non hubcentric spacers and can be classed as dangerous.
dont forget that all important tracking/ camber alignment

Just touching then you can get away with a few mm spacers. Just as long as the wheel centre bore fits on the hub you should be ok.
Yes I removed the smaller helper springs to clear the wheels. It's only there to take up the slack when you jack it up or whatever.

The 2 bolts that attach the strut to the hub are adjustable! not a lot, but it could be all that is required, try loosening them, and pulling the top of the wheel out, and retightening , this could be enough to get you mobile, then book in somewhere to get a full geometry check done...
Camber is also adjustable on the 3 bolts of the track control arms, I'd leave these where they are for the moment, so not to confuse the issue

im assuming you are talking about the balljoints baseplates on the wishbone/track control arm yeah? just incase it aint clear to others what bolts you are talking about.
