Love it Dizzie! I had some fun on my way home too with a MR2 (non turbo I think) I pushed him and was stuck to his bumper, he sure had a lot black smoke pumping out the back! lol
20vT MK2 Rules mate!
-
nice 1 m8
But we all know you could of smoked him in a 8v
-
what sorta power is you 20vt? good on ya though... i didnt think the mk5 gti was that quick when i test drove it was ok but didnt excite me.
-
I have no idea what power I'm putting out. At a rough guess somewhere around the 210-220 mark. Once I've got a proper exhaust, air filter and N75 valve I'm off to Jabba to have the fueling sorted and it'll be 230bhp then. As far as I can reliabley take the K03s turbo.
i've then got bodywork and new brakes to think about before I put a k04 on and run 270-300bhp. :D

Dizzy, your moter is class mate. Would love to throw a lump like that into mine.
Keep up the good work!
-
are you sure he was acutally trying??? so many peeps think they win a race when a race isnt even in progress.......
lol
im messin man, if you creamed him well done, but i dont think it will be long before mk2 golfs fitted with highly tuned mk5 engines will be creaming yours...
-
the fact I asked him if he fancied a race would of sorted that out Gaz ;)
not sure if the FSI is better than the 20vt. only 16v. 2.0 20vTs are about now so maybe that's next...
-
give the fsi a year or a bit molre mate and im sure youll see some serious sh@t coming from them, it took a while for peeps to relise the potential of the 20v, and when they did they pumped it up, so im sure with vw's constant engineering to the future the fsi will pump mega bhp when fiddled with...
after all, there only held back at the factory due to noise/enviromental issues and that they dont wanna outgun the up and coming big engined models.........

would be nice if VW made a twin turbo'd R32 with 300-350bhp :D
