Title: How much and how for tappets on an 87 Valver?

Sounding abit ttttttt at the moment, so sounds looks like the tappets will need doing. Can anyone give me details on prices for DIY and usual garage charge for changing them and if they are difficult on a valver.

Reckon its about a ton or thereabouts for the parts.

Got a set of tappets of Ebay for less than 40 notes, think from Euro Car Parts or GSF they are 60ish? Wasn't too hard on my Golf but its a 1.6 Driver so may well be different. In short, rocker cover off, Camshaft out (Timing marked), Pull out tappets, Drop in new.

Mine need to be done too I got a 16v and the haynes is useless anyone done 1???
