Title: Changing the aux belts

On my 1.8 adz engine , I have two belts , one on the alternator and one to the power steering pump , but looked on euro and can't work out what belts I need , anyone got any part numbers or links to the correct stuff
1.8 8v non air con but have PAS ,

You'll need a 6PK894 (or 895) - e.g.  for the alternator and water pump and a v-belt 685mm x 11.5mm for PS pump.

6PK894 = v-rib belt with 6 peaks, 894 mm long - e.g. from Dayco http://www.camskill.co.uk/m28b0s2592p14476/DAYCO_POLY_RIB_BELTS_PK_BELTS_-_Poly_Rib_Belt_-_6PK894_


685x11.5 = v-belt 11.5mm wide (at widest point), 685mm long - e.g. from Gates http://www.fooparts.com/s115x685La.html


Just buy some from Gates, Dayco or Conti those are best and will last longest.

thankyou mate you are some sort of god ! have found all the right size belts from euro (conti belts 685x11.5 and a 6pk894)

my last question is this the correct waterpump to buy

that looks like just the pump which looks ideal or do i need to buy the other pump with the whole housing on ?

don't buy half a pump get the whole one! much less messing and it costs the same!
I even got one sitting around here if you need it, was two weeks on my car before I scrapped it! Essentially it's new, got receipt from when i bought the pump and scrapped my Golf (it's the exact one from the ebay link below!)... if you're interested send me a PM.


Otherwise all 1.8 and 2.0 8V engines, as well as 100hp 1.6 and diesels on the mk3 have the same water pump:
