Title: INSTALLING REAR DISCS BRAKES SYSTEM IN A GOLF GTI MK1

Hi i am from Mexico and i have some questions ?

Are there in Europe some golf Mk1 s with rear disc brake systems that came with that from the fabric.

I have some rear disc brakes and calliper from a Jetta Mk2 16 V and i want to install those in my Mk1 ,do somebody knows exactly what to do ,i read in Vortex lots of things about that but i am confused ,i dont want to make mistakes with my brakes ,i would like to know your opinion.

There were no mk1 golfs sold in the UK with disc brakes as standard as far as I know, but the Scirocco 16v did. I used mk2 golf disc brakes and scirocco hand brake cables and adjusted the brake compensator. There is a thread in the mk1 forum, worth a look.
