The VR will be no-where near as tunable as your Ibiza, without supercharging or turboing it there aren't many gains to be had.

I would keep the Ibiza.

But if you like the shape of the mk3 golf then buy a cheap gti and put your lump in it, then break your car up.

As many have said already not many gains to be had unless you throw loads if money at it. You would get more gains with the same amount of money from your 1.8t

Turbo the vr though.... Well that's just insane power!

Buy a VR then sell the Ibiza and use the cash to make an insane turboed VR

Lets face it, everyone wants a turbo VR right up to the point where they do the math.

Haha it will be 2 of the best sounds a vr with a blower I had a a Gti miss the shape and the handling just with a 60mm shocks and springs and strut braces handled so well for a big car take it the mpg isn't that good with a vr either I've seen a turbo vr before and through 1st 2nd 3rd it just span up but come 4th it was gone alot of money though how hard is the 20vt to do in a mk3 I could sell mine and find a mk4 golf braking and use pretty much most things off that if there the same platform

I don't have that money let alone the running costs covered lol how many miles to a tank do you get and how much does it cost in your vr

I don't own one bud although i would like to, there are many Vr owners who can advise you here and for the cost of a 1.8T look out for F17BAD or lowlifedubber for inspiration.

thats not that bad my ibiza does 320ish miles to tank of v-power costs £65 to fill up but as soon as it's boosting it's doing 5.2mpg and does roughly 28 round town and 37 on the motorway
