Title: alloy's help
Post by: Si316 on 29 June 2005, 18:32
hey guys and girls,

Need abit of help with some alloys for my gf's mk2 driver. Ive got a bmw e30 with a set of 15" bbs's that im gonna try and put on the golf. I know the pcd and everything is the same on both cars and im pretty sure the offset is the same or similar at et25. Im just wondering about tyre sizes, the bbs's have 205/50/15's on them will these be ok for the golf or will they need different sizes.

Cheers
Si

i use 195/50/15's but with spacers you shouldn't have too much trouble.

hi just put some wheels 15 inch offset of 25 on my mk 2 golf.  The first time i put them on i had problems with scuffing but i chose 195/55/15's.  Because of that i have taken them off and just recently  fitted 195/45/15's the difference is amazing.  The car is lowered 40-60 mm and i still have a good half inch space between the tyres and arch.  No catching at all

I'm running 15 x 8 with 195/45/15s. These are Et 25 and there is a TINY bit of scrubbage at full lock.
