Cheers cully... So no dramas then... Hmm yes money is an issue at the moment trying to save but it's driving me insane so I thought a lil shopping for the AUQ wouldn't do any harm lol

if going down the spring route just replace the top mounts and bearings same if you get the coils to

I ran 30mm springs on standard shocks for a few weeks and the ride was awful, the car felt really unsettled in the corners so I replaced them with JOM coilovers and have never looked back.

Around 35mm but the shocks will not last long so your better fitting a matched kit instead of doing the job twice.

na i dont believe that i went 40mm with no probs at all for well over a year not even a rub on the arb there seems to be a lot of old wives myths on here but not enough ppl actually trying it first just to add my shocks were still original parts so 14 year old

Standard shocks are designed to work at standard height, lowering springs fitted will shorten lifespan.

Agreed, you are making the shocks work outside of the tolerances they were designed for and they will prematurely wear.

Any chance of a link or were to get some from mate cheers, sorry still quite a noob to all this lol

You could get them from eurocarparts with the 25% discount code from being on the forum. Id probably go genuine from TPS though as you dont want the hassle of changing them again if they fail.
