Just wondered if the hinges can be adjusted any way? is it done at factory with shims? reason is bonnet sits low at rear (under wing level on both sides)
Thanks.

Anyone please?

I'd stick some washers under there if I were you mate!

Right update in case anyone stumbles on this topic and wondered where I got to with it...
I found out that there is a non genuine bonnet fitted to my car  anyway so I now have a genuine VW bonnet in the same colour in garage ready to fit next week.

Interesting... :undecided:

Wow how did that happen?

Car was completely original as far as I knew, HPI clear etc, I've owned it since 2011 and previous owner worked for VW, previous owner to that was his father who bought it new in 2003 (his son in fact did all the MOT's and most of servicing on it paperwork from VW confirms that also) I have extensive history with original order form and purchase receipt, FVWSH etc all I can think is it had a minor front end that didn't go through insurance or maybe the bonnet got damaged/vandalised? who knows...
I had noticed the bonnet a bit low as per this topic but thought adjustment or something needed, anyway it was in VW recently having new wing fitted under warranty (corrosion) and I spoke to the VW bodyshop guy and he looked over the bonnet while it was in and came back to me later that day to say its a non genuine bonnet, was missing the seam seals? that are on sides of bonnet and inside the front lip where the metal is folded over, he also couldn't find a VW stamp on it. It then all made sense as to why there was some minor corrosion on the front lip and more imporantly why the fit at top rear of wings wasn't perfect.

+1 best always do own checks on bodywork and look for odd weld spots etc
