Title: Fan sender continuity 2 pins ?
Post by: WYATT on 30 July 2012, 13:15
Hello , wondering on a fan sender , it has two stage's and two live pins

These figure are example not exact but you get the picture ,

T1 = 95 degrees
T2 = 105 degrees

I have aftermarket twin fan setup on my 20v , would one pin have continuity at a time ?

My thinking is if I took my power from the lower temp one , I could be open for the short rise in temp to then be left with no power there once it gets to the 2nd stage of heat

Maybe bare and join both wires together coming out of the sender to be on safe side ?

Thanks

Pretty sure it goes - as temperature rises - neither live, then T1 live, then both T1 and T2 live.
That's based on a Mk2 golf one anyway.
