Title: are 16v & 8v cv joints same size?

as above. As ive got acv joint kit made by GKN and a friend of mine tried to fit them to his 16v (abf) but the spline diameter where the bolt goes on to (through the brake disk) was small. Could someone clarify that for me please?

confirmed that the 16v & 8v GTi cv joint kit is diffrent. i remember paying over £80 for these (2 kits). so i am selling them as they just laid around the house. they have everything you need. 2x cv joints with bolts, washers & crimping jublee clips, 2x boots, 2x rubber boots (1 is missing but i know defo its in the house somewhere) want £60+pp pics will be uploaded later when i get a chance.
