Title: Audi tt dash into mk3
Post by: Nickyb on 29 June 2005, 13:05
Hello people

I hate to say i bought this chav mag, but i was board, anyway.
Has anyone seen the mk3 in Fast Car this month with the tt dash?
Looks stunning if done properly (not in white)
Anyone done this or know how easy it would be to do?
Isnt the tt based on the mk4 golf anyway and so shouldnt be overly difficult?

I thought about doing this about 6 months ago, but that's about as far as it got!

Due to time and other comitments I'm not going to bother.

I imagine it looks wicked though and well worth it if you have the time. TT interior stuff can be picked up reasonably cheap now.

PS. Do TT front seats go straight into a mk3, or do the bases need re-welding, etc?

Dunno, are the seats from a mk4 differant to a mk3?
If not they should just swap over i would of thought?

the tt is more different to a mk4 golf than you seem to think.. and a mk3 is just as different to a mk4. have to say though i wouldnt mind a lhd tt dash in my mk2... trimmed in colour coded green leather ofcourse

the TT dash swap seems to be one of those 'never again' jobs. yes a few show cars have done it but it is still a very rare sight. dub genius Jerome in Holland charges 1k for the job so you can tell it's pretty serious!
