Quick question, which may be a silly one!
If I buy a single headlamp grille, how do I get the main beam lights to work as part of the larger outer lamps?
How does the wiring and bulbs work?
Ta.
Maybe a silly question coz, I havn't looked at the actual car in detail !

there is already the wire for full beam incorporated into the single wiring loom. The spots are just a add on. Easy swap.
-
The large lamps already have and do main beam. All you will have to do is unplug and remove the small ones and replace the grill.

spot lamps are already mounted in the grill anyhow  just a case of unplugging and swapping grills.

You lost me mate. How would spot lamps be incorporated into a single headlamp grill? Surely the idea of a single grill is to have a single set of lights?
-
Ah so, there is a main beam in the outer lamps! now i see. The inner ones are just spots!I will check on my car when it is dark... cheers.
-
Correct. Just dont look directly at them when your testing it

I am presuming he has a twin light grill on atm. In which case the spots are mounted to the grill so they will pop out when he removes said twin light grill.
Then just stick in the single light grill. Job done.

Yup, like it. I've got another original GTI grille with the red strip in good condition too that I am going to clean up and mount my spots onto, it just needs the plastic blackening with kiwi scuff guard! My current gti grill has had it.
That way I can put it back on when i sell the car / change my mind !
