Post by: oceanic-green on 27 July 2012, 09:13

Thanks

restrictive pipework maybe ?

not in my case,

There is a very noticeable turbo lag in mine. Can a broken actuator cause this to happen?

Could be. The actuator needs to be strong enough to hold the wastegate shut until the desired boost is reached

Thanks, is there anyway I can test this?

vagcom log the duty cycle.

What boost you pushing and when are you on full boost?

I am getting about 15 psi now, when I last looked.

What is the "duty cycle" ?

Thanks

How hard the N75 valve is having to work to meet the boost as required by ecu.

Thanks. I do have a spare N75, so I will try it. It is the original c one.

What block do I need to log for it

Thanks

I have not had chance to do the logging yet, but I do notice a kind of flutter/flickering sound after the turbo whistle when I take my foot of the accelerator. What could this be?

possibly DV sticking or split pipe to it

Ahh ok, thanks. There are no split pipes, but it does sound a little bit like the pipe has split, because this happened a while ago, and sounded similar.

What do I do to find out if it is sticking? If it is, can it be fixed. I have an Awesome Forge dv

thanks

Nice one. Thank you

If the DV is sticking, would that cause power/boost issues?

if it was stuck open it would just bleed your boost off

If it was stuck open, is that what that fluttering sound would be, because there is no split pipe at all. because my car feels like it wants to go, but then doesn't

Thanks

fluttering is normally the DV, but you can get very odd noises dependant on the filter setup

I am going to put the venom back on, as I did brake the sai hose clip, and had to tape it to the air box. may be that may have something to do with the fluttering then?
