OK I know I haven't got mice in the car but I do have an annoying squeak or too
Basically, of I go over a bump/pothole I will get a high pitched and very short lasting squeak from what I believe is the suspension. It doesn't do it all the time I.e. not on more gentle undulations in the rod or on every bump/pothole but it's blood annoying especially with the windows down!
I previously mentioned to the dealer when it was in for it's 2 year service and they checked the suspension and said nothing wrong but greased/lubricated something(!) which IIRC was the bump stops?
I thought it might be the doors rubbing on the door seals so these were lubricated with Gummipfledge seal feed but the noise is still there.
I know I'll probably end up booking t in with VW and will need to ae a tech out on a drive to show him but before I go down that rote I'd prefer to be able to direct them on where to start!!
Anybody experienced similar and anybody sorted it?

I know this sounds bizzare but I had the same issue and it turned out to be the rear seats.
Did you fold down the rear seats recently?
If you did, check if they fully lodged back in. If it's not fully latched in, it produces that squeaky noise every time you go over a bump.
Unlatch it and give it a strong push back in. The red mark tab above the fold down latch should be NOT VISIBLE if it's fully locked in.
Hope this works for you as it did on mine.

Good suggestion - I did have this once but quickly spotted my error and relocked the seats - I'm 99% sure it's suspension related - bloody annoying and now I hear it it's even worse!

Mine squeaks sometimes when I get out the car and definitely suspension related.
Have you tried bouncing the car by opening the door and standing on and off the sill? Does that produce the same noise?

That picture is hilarious. Feel sorry for that bloke-I wonder whether he survived!
I got a similar squeak with my driver's front suspension. Only occur on certain road surface. I mention that to my local stealer twice but they insist they can't hear it and they can't find anything wrong with the car's suspension. I might have to take the car to another VW dealer when I got some time off. My dad is a bit deaf. Even he can hear it!
