-
Save your money and take it to Brad and Ben for a 1.8t conversion, you get a quality conversion and a much faster car and they get one more reason to silence the children.
-
cheers for nice words and recommendation Gav
-
If its in good nick and not a yellow CC  then whack a 1.8t in

Oh i dunno, a yellow cc slammed with some black alloys and a black wrapped roof would look the part.

Send them a pm, can't imagine its cheap but if its anything like their motors it'll be a pukka job.

Sell it and buy something quicker
Leon Cupra, Octavia vRS and Golf mk4 are getting cheap and a remap will really help.

Why around £1500 to £2000 will get you a nice tidy car plus a remap will see around 200bhp.
Or you could spend that or more and fit a 1.8t in a mk3 :undecided:
-
Sorry to but in but who is Brad and Ben ?

Yes but you would still end up with a mk4.

With respect if you spend £3k and fit a 1.8t to a mk3 it is still a mk3

Oh Wayne, why can't you just let people do what they want instead of trying to plead your case ALL the time. A car is much more to some people than many of yours have been (going by your past history of changing every 3 seconds).

Sorry but this thread was about selling up and buying something quicker, then it turns into keep it and spend thousands on it as that make more sense :undecided:
I have had my car over 14mths btw
-
In fairness you have had your current car for a long time *applaud* but you did struggle to sell it for a few of those months of ownership.
Anyway, back to the topic at hand. I think a conversion is the way to go if you have an attachment to the car, however if you're looking for more power and want to have a newer car you may as well look at other options.

The goal of the mk3 section is to keep people in mk3's.

Agreed, would allways choose an overweight 3 over an obese 4 .

I look at mk2's and mk1's and the want one factor is right up there but mk4's..they just don't look right to me and thats why i'd like to see this mk3 evolve with its current owner.
